Jaguar Land Rover - Whitley

CWS Ltd were approached to design, manufacture and install a fully enclosed acoustic grinding booth along with six welding booths and a shot blasting booth at Jaguar Land Rover's research and development facility in Whitley.  The large enclosed Acoustic booth, a first for CWS, measures 7 x 6 x 3 M and features front sliding doors, double glazed windows and fully acoustic absorbing walls.

The five booths measure 3 x 2 M each and also feature fully acoustic absorbing walls, semi-transparent windows and sliding curtain door openings.

The aim of this was to bring the noise of grinding (around 100Db) and the spread of dust down to safe levels for visitors and co-workers.  This project has just been completed and more ongoing work is now in the pipeline for the expansion of this installation in to other areas inside the facility.
